🌊 Join Us for a Community Workshop on the Future of Our Waterways We’re inviting community members from across south‑west Victoria to help shape the new Glenelg Hopkins Regional Waterway Strategy. This strategy will guide the vision and desired outcomes for our rivers, wetlands and estuaries over the next decade—and your local knowledge and ideas are essential. An expert facilitator will run each session, in‑person at a local venue, with lunch provided and plenty of time for discussion.

⭐ What we’ll explore together

During each workshop, we will:

- Co‑develop a regional vision for the future of our waterways

- Review draft focus areas and add local insights from your community

- Strengthen the measurable outcomes that will guide future projects and investment

We’ll also:

- Share our engagement plan and overall timeline for developing the Strategy

- Walk through the development and approval process

- Discuss the key principles guiding our approach, including a response to the likely climate impacts on the region

Your local knowledge—about environmental values, community values, local issues, past work or emerging priorities—will help ensure the Strategy reflects what matters most to people who live, work and spend time in these landscapes.

📄 What to bring

You’re welcome to bring anything you think could help—local knowledge, observations, ideas, photos, or even stories of how you use and value your local waterways.

Feel free to invite others in your community who may be interested.

🥗 Catering & RSVP

Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP with any dietary requirements by Wednesday 11 March.
