Regional Waterway Strategy Vision

Why do we need a vision statement?

We’re in it for the long game when it comes to waterway management.

Changing the condition of waterways takes a really long time. And while this new regional waterway strategy covers the next ten years of work, our vision statement sets out the long term (50 year) goal for our waterways.

Creating the vision for the Glenelg Hopkins Regional Waterways Strategy is a key part of process where the end result of the Strategy is defined.

The RWS Vision is an aspirational statement for the region’s waterways - their health, their functionality, their management, and their liveability - in 50 years from now (2075).
